Fenix Fire Teams Up with Unity

Super excited about this one – Unity’s new publishing arm, Union, has teamed up with Fenix Fire to bring Fenix Fire games to stores and devices outside of the Android Marketplace and Apple App Store. The first release is Roboto in Nokia’s Ovi Store, where Roboto is already sporting a healthy review score from our happy customers. In addition to the Ovi Store, Roboto was shown at the Blackberry DevCon 2011 event in front of thousands on a giant screen for all to see. The game was played live by Tracy Ericcson of Union who played Roboto like a champ on the RIM PlayBook.

We are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Union and can’t wait to see Roboto and our future projects on more and more digital download shopping experiences.

Wow! We’re really flattered about what our new friends in the media are saying about our soon to be released game for iPad, iPhone and Android – Roboto. Also, a great website all the way from Italy (iPhoneItalia.com) had one of the most flattering things to say (in Italian) about Roboto. The rough English translation goes something like:

Roboto Trailer – Fenix Fire’s Take on the Classic Sidescrolling Platformer

We’re excited to announce the launch of our first gameplay trailer for ROBOTO; our spin on the classic sidescrolling platformer genre. Growing up in the 8 bit days, we loved the magical classics such as Super Mario Bros (especially the quirky Super Mario Bros 2) and later the Sonic the Hedgehog series on Genesis. Offering something new to the genre has been deeply exploratory, and we hope that what we’ve found resonates with fans of the genre.
